PAPERCRAFT OBJECTS: FINAL REVISION
Final wolf rattle! For this final revision I focused mainly on adding decorative details and adding all the extra tabs to make it stronger and more functional. I went on a trip to Michaels craft store to find some pretty paper that matches the og object’s wood and paint texture. I spent a lot of time trying to replicate the details on the original work without using any paint or markers ( although i was very tempted lol). The handle i made bigger in this version which was easier to construct and ended up looking a lot more accurate. This revision plus adding extra supports around the base of the handle made it a lot stronger and I was even able to attach it to the head part. I still was unable to find a way to attach the dowel to the stand though (but that’s ok since it comes off in the original rattle as its just a display stand). I thought I’d include it anyway for my photos since it’s fairly easy to recreate :).
Some of the final changes to design were
- Adding flaps to the ear parts
- Adding flaps to the wooden dowel handle
- Adding extra paper support for the dowel at the base
- Scaling up the size of the dowel handle (200 —>250)
- Adding various details (eyes, mouth, head, ears, under and on top head ect..)
